Tunneling time is a controversial topic ever since the birth of quantum mechanics. The development of modern laser technology, especially the invention of the attoclock, has brought both new insights and debates into the question. Nondipole effects, which originate from the finiteness of the light speed, could result in a new kind of ionization time delay. Here we discuss nondipole effects in strong-field ionization and its resulting ionization time delay. Using the Coulomb-corrected light-front strong-field approximation, we investigate the photon momentum transfer in strong-field ionization. Despite its attractive nature, the under-the-barrier Coulomb field counterintuitively increases the photoelectron momentum shift. For molecules, we apply the Wigner transformation to extract tunneling exit distributions and show that the corresponding nondipole time delay is generally independent of the bond length. We also identify the double-slit interference in tunneling ionization of atoms with nonzero angular momentum via a nondipole momentum shift.

何沛伦博士,2015年本科毕业于上海交通大学,2020年于上海交通大学物理与天文学院获得博士学位,导师为何峰教授。2020-至今在德国马克斯·普朗克核物理研究所从事博士后研究工作,合作导师为超快强场领域顶级理论物理学家Christoph H. Keitel教授。何沛伦博士共计发表学术论文近30篇,近期代表成果发表在Physical Review Letters(10篇, 第一作者和通讯作者6篇),Optica (1篇),Physical Review A (8篇) 等国际一流学术期刊上。曾获得上海交通大学优秀博士毕业生发展奖学金,第十届强场超快激光青年科学家奖, 第十四届王大珩光学奖高校学生奖。
